Another equally impressive demo at the recent Tizen Developer Conference in San Francisco was that of the upcoming Tizen Animation Framework. The quick demo, presented by Samsung’s Executive Vice President, J-D Choi, shows an EFL-based (Elightenment Foundation Libraries) accelerated multi-touch user interface, scaling and rotating a running video, without dropping frames.
In one of the keynotes on the recent Tizen Developer Conference in San Francisco, Samsung’s Executive Vice President, J-D Choi gave a demo of purely HTML5/CSS3 written apps on Tizen. The impressive HTML5 demos were shown live, running on a prototype device (which several folks are saying was a Samsung Galaxy S II). The demos presented were the three different Gallery user interfaces, Media Cube, CSS-based photo transition, and the upcoming Phone interface.
If you are wondering how the recently released Tizen 1.0 Larkspur looks like, here’s a video that BadaHub (a Samsung Bada enthusiast site) just posted. The video basically shows swipe scrolling on the Tizen smartphone interface — it’s quite laggy as it is being run on the SDK emulator. It also shows some screens like the date and time setting, display setting, memory, NFC, browser, memo, music, dialer, swipe to unlock UI, volume control, and the on-screen keyboard.
